Torn Between 2 Industries

My whole life I have grown up believing that I wanted a business career in sales or marketing. I even came to college to study for a degree in business. Now as I plan for my future, with graduation being only a few weeks away, I cannot help but wonder if I should have taken another path.

I have loved every second of school and still really enjoy learning about the business industry, but ever since I got into fitness I have had an overwhelming desire to follow this passion. While I still can see myself find a job in sales or marketing when I graduate, I truly do not believe I would be content with my decision.

Ever since I began my journey into fitness and the industry, my life has changed substantially for the better. I fell like I have become a better person in all aspects of my life, making this that much harder of a decision for me. I never would have thought 4 years ago I would be considering taking a job as a personal trainer over working at a Tech startup.

As my decision nears, I have began weighing the pros and cons for both career paths. While I would not be making near as much money starting off as a personal trainer, it would be much more fulfilling of a job for me. I enjoy training and helping others better their lives through fitness. If I were to take a business job, I would have much less impact upon the world and would be dealing with people much less directly.

I have one of the biggest decisions of my life coming up, but I feel that either career path I take I will succeed because I will give it all of my effort. I have some level of comfort knowing that I will have a degree in business and a personal training certification so if one career does not work out or satisfy me, I can always look to the other.
